How do AI assistants work with Concierge?

Concierge publishes two connection points built on the open Model Context Protocol. Your team can work the inbox, FAQ, stays and reports from the assistant they already use. Your guests can ask theirs about your hotel and, after proving their WhatsApp number, about their own stay. Every change a guest would see waits for a person's approval.

One hotel, three ways in
  • The Concierge assistant

    Live

Inside the dashboard, beside any screen

  • Your team's assistant

    Live

Your staff's own AI assistant, with their Concierge login

  • Your guests' assistant

    On request

A guest's own AI assistant: your public answers, and their stay once they verify their number

Hotel Meridian

Your FAQ, inbox and stays. A person approves every change a guest would see.

  • Open Model Context Protocol
  • OAuth 2.1 with PKCE
  • Tools limited to each role
  • AI writes need your approval
  • Recorded in the audit trail

Two assistants

Your team's assistant. Your guests' assistant.

One is for the people who work at your hotel, the other for your guests. Each is a module, switched on per property, with its own sign-in and its own limits.

Assistant Access Live

Your team's assistant

Staff connect Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot with their normal Concierge login and get only the tools their role allows. Your group admin decides which vendors may connect, and the list starts empty.

How it works

  1. Your group admin allows a vendor.

The list starts empty, and the consent page states your obligation to hold a data-processing agreement with that vendor.

  2. A staff member connects with their normal login.

They sign in on Concierge's own page, so the assistant never sees a password, and consent per client and per property.

  3. They ask, and approve.

Reads happen at once. Anything a guest would see, or that cannot be undone, stops on a summary Concierge wrote, for them to approve.

Try asking

  • Who is waiting for a person right now, and for how long?
  • Which questions could Concierge not answer this week?
  • Reply to room 204: late checkout until 14:00 is fine.

Guest Assistant On request

Your guests' assistant

List your property and a guest's own assistant can read your profile and your FAQ answers. After verifying their WhatsApp number, a guest can see their stays, message you and manage consent. Your WhatsApp number and check-in codes are never shown.

How it works

  1. You switch it on.

With the Guest Assistant module, an Admin lists your property for guests' AI assistants on the Operations tab. Nothing is listed until then.

  2. A guest asks their assistant.

Any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol can read your profile, the contacts you marked public and your FAQ answers, anonymously.

  3. A guest who verifies their number sees their own stay.

The code goes to their WhatsApp and is typed on a Concierge page, never into the assistant. Then they can read their stays, message you, manage consent and ask for their data to be deleted.

Try asking

  • Find Hotel Meridian and tell me the breakfast hours.
  • Show my stay at Hotel Meridian: which room, and until when?
  • Tell the hotel I'll arrive after 22:00.

How approval works

Can an assistant send something to a guest by itself?

No. A reply, a broadcast, a checkout or a deletion runs only after the person reads a summary written by Concierge and approves it. Reads need no approval.

  • Same rights as the person

The assistant uses a short-lived token issued for whoever is signed in. A front-desk seat sees a different set of tools than an admin.

  • One approval per change

Before a reply, a broadcast, a checkout or a deletion, the person reads a summary written by Concierge, not by the assistant, and approves it. Five minutes, once.

  • Recorded as that person

Every action is written to the audit trail as the person, naming the assistant that asked.

Example conversation: a front-desk member asks their assistant who is waiting, then asks it to reply to room 204. The reply stops on an approval card.
  1. Ana · Front desk: Who is waiting for a person right now?

  2. Used escalation_list

Assistant: Two guests are waiting: room 204 for 4 minutes and room 118 for 11 minutes. Room 204 asked about a late checkout.

  3. Ana · Front desk: Reply to 204: late checkout until 14:00 is fine.

Supported assistants

Which AI assistants can connect?

Any assistant that supports the open Model Context Protocol, such as Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Your team signs in on Concierge's own page with their normal login, and your group admin decides which vendors may connect. Your guests choose their own.

  • Anthropic

    Claude

  • OpenAI

    ChatGPT

  • Microsoft

    Microsoft Copilot

What an assistant needs

  • Support for the open Model Context Protocol.
  • Sign-in through OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, on Concierge's own page. The assistant never sees a password.
  • For your team: a vendor your group admin has allowed. The list starts empty.

Named as examples, in plain text. Concierge is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI or Microsoft.

Safety

What keeps an assistant inside its limits?

The limits live in Concierge, not in the assistant. Your group admin chooses the vendors, each person's role decides the tools, and a guest proves their number before their assistant sees a stay. Anything a guest would see waits for a person.

Assistant Access

Your team's assistant

  • Your group admin decides which assistants are allowed. The list is empty until they add one.
  • Staff sign in on Concierge's own page with their own login. A new colleague sets their password from an e-mail, not from an assistant.
  • Phone numbers are masked in every answer, as they are on screen.
  • Disconnect an assistant from your profile; it stops at its next request.
Guest Assistant

Your guests' assistant

  • The guest proves their number first. The code goes to their WhatsApp and is typed on a Concierge page, never into the assistant.
  • Your WhatsApp number, check-in codes and QR links are never shown to an assistant.
  • Nothing is sent to a guest's assistant unless the guest asks for it.
  • A message through an assistant costs you no WhatsApp conversation and never opens the 24-hour window.
  • A guest's assistant sees one property unless the guest opts in to the whole group, and a group can switch that offer off.
